Metal stamping is the method of creating metal products according to the essential sizes and shapes through a method called stamping. It is a process involving pressing or stamping of the metal in dies or press tools giving accuracy to the shape.
The metal sheets are positioned in a press tool that has a particularly designed cavity that gives the ideal shape to the metal sheet. The higher part of the die connects to the press slide while the lower section connects to the press bed. A particular component known as the punch pushes the metal sheet through the die, thus performing the definite shaping procedure. In order to prevent the metal from rust or corrosion it is plated with gold, palladium, nickel or tin after pressing.
